ANTONIO LÓPEZ SERRANO (Piano)
Born in Priego de Cordoba. Started his musical studies at the Higher Music Conservatory of Cordoba with profesor Carmen Flores obtaining his degree in 1978 with the higher marks and an Extraordinary Prize.
Took classes with maestros Dimitri Baskirow, Christopher Elton, Maria Curcio, Rafael Quero and Rafael Orozco.
Won prizes in regional and national contests such as the “Manuel de Falla” Contest from the University of Granada, Tesorillo prize in 1997, Academic corresponding to the Cordoba Royal Academy for Sciences, Arts and Fine Arts.
His performance as soloist in a Concer organized by the Culture Department in Barcelona was a great success with big audience and positive criticism in the Catalan newpapers, radio and television.
Specialized in accompanying singers, has been carrying out an intense concert activity therefore performing in important Musical Centers in Europe, America and the Far East.
Habitual pianist with singers like Pedro Laviergen, Sergio de Salas, Enrique Viana, Juan Luque, Carmen Serrano, Milagros Martín, etc., presenting concerts in Washington (Kennedy Center), New Cork (U.N. Headquarters), San Francisco, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec, Mexico, Guatemala, Caracas, Santiago de Chile, La Paz, Asunción, Buenos Aires, Lima, Montevideo, Havana, Managua, London, Viena, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Kiev, Paris, Rome, Catania, Milan, Ámsterdam, Athens, Bucarest, Copenhaguen, Stocholm, Helsinki, Bergen, Istambul, Damascus, Manila, Seul, Beijin, Tokio and Bangkok, as well as concerts in all the Spanish regions.
Released records for Radio and Television in Canada, Venezuela, China, Uruguay and Spain (Canal Sur, TVE and Radio Nacional) as well as various disco recordings.
